So I'm getting a bit confused about the basis of my work is it enough to just plan to take photos at night in isolated spaces? I'm thinking maybe I should research the idea of fear more and delve into that pathway look at artists who use fear as an emotion in their work and watch horror films with a strong use of suspense and fear. Any ideas as to where to look?

Butler Gallery

Just to let everyone know the Butler Gallery is exhibiting the work of Declan Rooney a performance artist from Ireland that is now based in Berlin. His first performance has already happened last Saturday but he will be doing three more on the 26th of June, the 10th of July and the  17th of July from 1-5pm. He works with different groups and his first performance involved local skaters, he set up a ramp for them and music and they were allowed skate around the gallery while he preformed around them. Take a look if your around Kilkenny. There is a projector in the gallery showing his last performance with all the props he used in the space as well.

New work

I hope to be putting up new work soon and possibly some old work I never got around to putting up but my internet resources are limited! Also apologies for the last post I had to delete it because it came up all askewed, not sure why but hopefully it won't be a problem again.

Robert frank

I've been meaning to look up this photographer for god knows how long and even though it has been claimed by many that he is the father of contemporary photography there is not one book on him in our library! His stuff is gorgeous and it is really the old style I love so I'm considering buying his renowned book The Americans, all the images I've seen from it look amazing and £18.00 ain't that bad...we'll see how the funds are!
